teph Curry has filed a trademark application for "Curryverse" to start introducing his own edition of the Metaverse to the NBA's 650 million fans.

If approved, the trademark application submitted by SC30 Inc. in the United States will give the four-time NBA champion exclusive privileges to entertainment options, specifically personal, virtual, and metaverse presence.

According to the filing, the "Curryverse" will also offer virtual world-like online gaming services, with players being able to collect both fungible and nonfungible tokens (NFTs) that can be purchased or sold on an online marketplace.

The application also includes virtual clothing and goods, business investment and management services, charitable crowdfunding services, and software as a service (SaaS), which provides software products for designing, promoting, auctioning, and swapping NFTs.

While the Metaverse-related trademark would seem to be a first for Curry, it is far from his first foray into Web3. He joined the NFT community for the first time in August 2021 after purchasing the Bored Ape Yacht Club for $206,000.

The Golden State Warriors player's passion for golf led him to invest in LinksDAO, a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), to create the world's greatest golf community.

As part of his ambassadorship with the popular cryptocurrency exchange, the NBA superstar appeared in an FTX advertisement in March.

Web3 Has Become a Sponsor of the Nba's Miami Heat

Meanwhile, just eight days after signing a multi-year collaboration with the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL), blockchain infrastructure firm Chain has been named the Miami Heat's official Web3/Blockchain infrastructure associate.

Chain stated in a press release on November 1 that its collaboration will aim to fill the gap between both the games industry and Web3 technology by offering a suite of services and products that address the difficulties and challenges of overall blockchain management.

The logo will also be stamped on the Miami Heat player's pre-game shooting shirt. The blockchain solutions firm will be heavily displayed on the NBA team's social media pages as part of the collaboration.
