If the SEC had sued Ethereum or any of its officials, including Vitallik Buterin and Joseph Lubin, attorney John Deaton, founder of Crypto Law, said he would have supported Ethereum in the same way he has supported Ripple.
According to the founder of Crypto Law, he has continued to hold ETH because he expects critics to dismiss his efforts for the Ripple community thus far as actions taken by a disgruntled XRP holder.
Interestingly, Deaton claims to own more ETH than XRP, which has always been the case.
Deaton went on to say that he has continued to hold ETH because he expects critics to dismiss his efforts for the Ripple community as the actions of a disgruntled XRP holder.
“When I filed suit Vs. SEC I owned more in ETH than XRP, and I still do b/c I knew people would try and dismiss my efforts as a disgruntled XRPHolder.”
Deaton's Efforts to Assist XRP Holders in Obtaining Justice
It is worth noting that Deaton has been at the forefront of the ongoing Ripple vs. SEC litigation. The founder of Crypto Law is currently representing over 72,000 XRP holders in a class action lawsuit against the Securities and Exchange Commission for causing them massive losses.
Meanwhile, Deaton's statement comes after Cardano founder described XRP holders' claims about former SEC internal staff as a "grand conspiracy." Charles Hoskinson's recent statement has enraged the XRP community. Crypto Eri, a well-known XRP supporter, expresses her surprise at Charles' remarks.
