Hyosung America has partnered with cash-to-crypto provider DigitalMint, enabling Bitcoin purchasing across the firm’s 175,000 ATMs in the U.S.
Customers will be able to use the app to select the amount of BTC they wish to purchase and then insert their cash into the ATM. The transaction will be processed, and the customer will receive their cryptocurrency within minutes.
However, it will be up to the specific operator to decide whether they want to incorporate the service, making it unlikely that all 175,000 Hyosung’s ATMs will support BTC buying.
DigitalMint is a leading cash-to-crypto provider with over 200 locations in the United States. The firm offers a variety of BTC purchasing options, including bank wire and teller services. Retailers and operators can sell Bitcoin through their machines, thanks to DigitalMint's software API connections.
The company is rapidly expanding its network; with the addition of this project, the firm’s reach will become even larger, making it easier for people to buy cryptocurrency with cash.
Chief Marketing Officer of Hyosung America, Brad Nolan, said, “With the app store, any ATM operator using our retail software platform can subscribe and download apps such as DigitalMint, to enable their ATMs to do more — driving new revenue streams for the operators and the retailers with whom they partner.”
Through this partnership, more people can easily purchase BTC using cash at their local ATM Solutions. This will help further drive the adoption of cryptocurrency in general.
