In a slowing economy, almost all computer businesses are reassessing the size of their workforces, with the majority imposing hiring restrictions and letting go of thousands of workers.

It is completely negative because operating a sustainable business from home is impossible. Stop talking about productivity; the previous CEO of Twitter, Parag Agrawal, permitted his staff to work from home although Twitter was losing $4 million daily.

The majority of businesses do not support working from home. It only works for people, and for people to get paid, businesses need to be profitable.

Apple only permits workers to work from home two days a week.

Tim Cook is unable to imagine managing a business where workers fail to show up for work.

Dimon explained to a gathering of business owners that not everyone can succeed working from home, especially those who desire to change the world."It doesn't work for those who want to hustle. It doesn't work for spontaneous idea generation. It doesn't work for culture."

Many of the CEOs I follow don't think it's impossible to keep a positive workplace culture while allowing some employee disconnection.

Some of you will claim that technology makes it possible for us to communicate effectively with one another. Well, "Stop confusing digital connections with real relationships. Nothing can replace a real conversation with someone you care about, and if you don't care about the people you work with, it is time for you to find another job."

Being in the same location as your coworkers enables your business to be creative and successful.

"When you observe the actions of other people, you often adopt their same goals. Being around a group of people who are working toward a common mission reinforces that goal in everyone in the workplace."

When employees work entirely remotely, it is more difficult for businesses to create and transfer institutional knowledge. Therefore, the organization will suffer severely the moment someone leaves.

Spending time in the office with coworkers has the added benefit of fostering a sense of shared purpose. But once more, if you don't feel like you belong, leave your work. You deserve better.

Therefore, try to appreciate that CEOs who want their staff to return to the office have a business to run rather than hate them.
